Single Foot Figure; any scale up to and including 54mm.
Single Mounted Figure; any scale up to and including 54mm.
Single Large Scale Figure; any scale over 54mm.
Vignette; any scale.  May contain up to 6 figures and up to 2 vehicles.
Fantasy Group; 2 to 8 figures and up to 3 vehicles; any scale up to 30mm.  May 
	include Science Fiction characters, etc.
6.	Diorama; any scale; no limit on content.


7.	Wargames Unit; Foot, Horse or Equipment,  Pre 1700;  20-30mm scale.
8.	Wargames Unit; Foot, Horse, Artillery, Vehicles, AFV's, Post 1700, 20-30mm.
9.	Wargames Unit; Foot, Horse or Equipment, any period; 15mm scale.
10.	Wargames Army; any period; any scale.
11.	Miscellaneous; any item not eligible for above classes.

JUNIOR CLASSES (AGE LIMIT : 16 YEARS AND UNDER)
	
Wargames Unit; up to 30mm scale OR Single Figure or Model (vehicle, aircraft or 
	vessel); any scale.
13.	Fantasy / Science Fiction Army; any scale up to and including 30mm.

 

 

NB: The organisers reserve the right to vary the number of classes and delete or amalgamate classes in the interest of the Competition.

 

RULES

 

For the purpose of the competition a Wargames Unit is taken as 6 to 50 foot figures, 4 to 20 mounted figures or 1 to 10 vehicles or equipment items etc. and crew, as appropriate for the period.  A Wargames Army must consist of between 50 to 200 figures or 20 to 100 vehicles etc. and crew figures.  DBA armies qualify for entry under Class 9.

 

Entries must be placed between 11.00 a.m. and 2.00 p.m. on Sunday 14th September.  Entries cannot be accepted before the Show.

 

There will be a nominal administration charge of 50p (Juniors 20p) for each entry, payable on the day of entry (Sunday 14th September).

 

Entries may not have won any painting competitions previously.  They must be essentially the entrants own work.

 

Professional painters and modellers are not eligible to enter.

 

Up to 3 entries may be made in one class.                                                           

 

The competition will be judged between 2.30 and 4.00 p.m. on Sunday 14th September.  The announcement of winners and prize-giving will take place between 4.30 and 5.00 p.m. that day.  Entrants are requested not to remove their entries before the prizes are awarded.

 

Entrants for the Junior Classes (Classes 12 and 13) must be aged 16 years or under on the day.  Juniors may enter any class.

 

The Judge's decision is final.

 

The organisers accept no responsibility for the safety and security of entries.

 

PRIZES

 

A Trophy and Certificate is awarded to the winner of each class, a Certificate to the runner up.

 

The Military Modelling Trophy plus £50 is awarded for the best entry in the Competition overall, including entries in the Modelling Competition (Saturday 13th September), subject to those entries being available on 14th September.

 

Sponsorship: Classes 6 and 7, plus the Best of Show Prize (Military Modelling Trophy), sponsored by NSI.

 

Additional prizes may be awarded at the discretion of the organisers.
